Today I received an ask on how I contour and do my lips. Straight away I will just start by saying... I AM NO BEAUTY GURU and I am definitely not inclined in the makeup department! Now, I don't usually contour on a regular basis.. only for special events/parties/etc.. Otherwise it looks a little bit too much on me for daily casual use. My two favourite aspects of makeup - contouring and anything to do with lips. Keep reading on below for a step by step photo tutorial!

I can't believe another year passed by so quickly. Today I celebrate my birthday and it still scares me to think that I'm closer to twenty than I am ten. My age may change each year, but I can guarantee that the toilet paper-eating five year old girl is still there (we'll save that story for another time).

I ordered the raddest plaid cloak from Esthetic Supply and got the package a couple days ago. I had some extra time laying around today after getting off school early and thought I might show off my cloak to you guys a bit! I also heard you guys dig posts with a ton a pics... if that's true, you are definitely in luck today.

Kinda. I get that this isn't quite formal but I still liked all of its components, down to the gold bangles. It's a simple little "going out for dinner" type outfit or something you could wear to a gathering with friends. The thin + single strapped heels add a little bit of elegance and add a little bit of height, which goes well with the open slit skirt. The best thing about this entire outfit is that I got the shoes discounted to $14 from JC Penny in San Diego! I mean, it's no Saint Laurent, but you could never go wrong with durable $14 shoes. I don't usually like going into department stores, but sometimes they're worth a little scan. Outfit details are below!

If you catch me on a regular day, I realize (you probably do too) that I'm pretty vague with my statements and what I respond with.
