Mini haul // 3.31.15.

5:55:00 PM

Hello all! It's very, very late where I am situated right now, with a cup of heavily caffeinated tea watching the 24 hours AMERICAN CANDY stream. It is finally out! You can check that out here and hopefully buy a copy. I did! 3:21 AM never felt so good. Though, I'm still yet to listen front to back, I'll get to it when I have an earnest moment.

Though I figured while I'm up, I'd write up a little post on a few things I've bought recently.

From a pair of some bright(er) denim to a couple pairs of shorts to good music to lipstick, I will never understand how people can walk away from a good deal. I bought the James Bay album after listening to his voice for a long, long time. I always listened on Spotify or just youtube, but today I decided to pick up his album + show a little support. It is absolutely incredible and I wish you could all hear his beautiful voice one day.

Can you believe this comfy, faux wooly feeling knit sweater was only 4.99? I walked into Superstore with my family only expecting to buy a couple groceries and what not, but I found myself wandering into the Joe Fresh clothing section. This sweater just goes to show that there are goods in the least places you expect them! Yes people, even from brands like Joe Fresh at such places like Superstore.

I don't remember the last time I wore something as stylish AND comfy as this pair of flowy shorts (is that what you call them?!) and slouchy top. Perfect to wear on a warmer spring/summer day to the park or a beach date. I've never really been a big fan of wearing shorts but these ones from Love Culture are SO comfortable and don't give the uneasy tightness that regular shorts would.

While we're still talking about mega deals, I got the two NYC Expert Last Lipsticks in Creamy Caramel + Creamy Mauve for about $2. If you aren't into spending a fortune on various lipsticks- drugstore brands like NYC will definitely suffice. However, with the lipstick being sealed and the store having no testers, I couldn't test them out before I bought them.

I absolutely love Creamy Caramel! It gives a nudish-kind of brown colour with a sheer finish. Personally, I'm not a big fan of satin Lipsticks so I added a bit of translucent powder after applying the product. Though Creamy Caramel was a hit, Creamy Mauve was a miss for me. In lipstick form it looked convincing as a deep mauve/nude colour, but when swiped or placed onto lips - it turned out very rosy and barbie pink. I'll be honest and say - I'm not a fan!

Next, I bought some more Chocolate Chili Chai tea (as mentioned + recommended in the last post!). I absolutely cannot get enough of it. I've already had three/four cups within the past few hours, probably not a good thing but it sure tasted like it. Along with the tea, I bought a couple new MAC lip products: Whirl lipliner and Velvet Teddy lipstick. These two colours go hand in hand - I cannot even begin to express my excitement over them on the interwebz.

This dress has a little bit of a back-story before I chose to buy it seven months after first seeing it. One time when my family + I went out on vacation to California, we headed up San Diego and almost into Mexico. Right on the border they had a little shopping outlet - which surprisingly had amazingly cheap items. I picked this dress up and tried it on multiple times that day, I even texted a couple of my friends for their opinions, but I left that day empty handed. Seven months later... THE DRESS IS MINE. It's perfect for a festival, spring concert or just a regular outing.

Off for now.

HAPPY SPRING!
